In a chat with DailyTrust, the Family member said they are shocked that she could carry out such a dastard act because, by her nature, she is a very patient person and never quick to anger.
According to the source, Maryam and Bilyamin had been dating for years, right from when she was an undergraduate at the University of Maiduguri where she studied English Language and graduated in 2010.
The source said;
“Though Bilyamin ended up getting married to another lady. However, the relationship with Maryam continued and they got married after Bilyamin divorced his first wife less than a year after they married. Not long after the divorce, he married Maryam – about two years ago,”
The source added that Maryam who is currently being detained by the Abuja police command, has refused to allow anyone take her eight-month-old daughter from her.

Jubilation as Robert Mugabe resigns (Photos)

Robert Mugabe has finally resigned as president of Zimbabwe.

“I Robert Gabriel Mugabe in terms of section 96 of the constitution of Zimbabwe hereby formally tender my resignation… with immediate effect,” said speaker Mudenda, reading the letter.

Former Vice President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, had warned embattled Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe to leave power or be humiliated. This is contained in a statement he signed on Tuesday.

Exile Mnangagwa, who was fired by Mugabe from cabinet and Zanu-PF two weeks ago, confirmed that he had received communication from the President inviting him for talks.

“I can confirm that President Robert Gabriel Mugabe made contact with me and invited me to return home for a discussion on the current political events in the nation.

“I told the President that I would not return home now until I am satisfied of my personal security, because of the manner and treatment given to me upon being fired,” said Mnangagwa. In the statement, the former Vice President, said he had warned Mugabe against defying the will of the people as indicated by the 93-year-old veteran nationalist’s televised speech to citizens on Sunday.

“In my conversation with the president I told him that there are two options, that is (a) to cooperate in the current negotiations with comrades from the defence forces for a peaceful resolution of this crisis, which would result in the preservation of his legacy. (b) that if he continues to dig in, in defiance of the will of the people, he might suffer humiliation because definitely the will of the people will prevail against one person,” Mnangagwa said.

The former Vice President said Mugabe had humiliated him on the day he was fired from government.

“He (Mugabe) requested me to come to State House, and l replied that l was out of the country, and that he had already removed my status as the VP of the country, as such I had no status, however, l can only come at the invitation of my colleagues in the party and of the defence forces, when they feel that my security is guaranteed”. “… events that followed my dismissal on Monday 6th November 2017 at 4.00pm, my security details assigned to me and at my residency were immediately withdrawn.

This was contrary to all the protocols that have exited in Zimbabwe to former State Vice Presidents of the Republic of Zimbabwe. “Security personnel, who are friendly to me, warned me that plans were underfoot to eliminate me once arrested and taken to a police station. It was in my security interest to leave the country immediately.” Mnangagwa said the move by Zanu-PF to impeach Mugabe after he failed to comply with a central committee decision to voluntarily resign could not be stopped by talks between the two.

“Parliament is the ultimate expression of the will of the people outside an election and, in my view, is expressing national sentiment by implementing the impeachment proceedings therefore talks between myself and the President cannot supersede the expression and fundamental rights of fellow Zimbabweans.

“The people of Zimbabwe have spoken with one voice and it is my appeal to President Mugabe that he should take heed of this clarion call by the people of Zimbabwe to resign so that the country can move forward and preserve his legacy,” the former VP said. Mnangagwa reminded Mugabe that the former guerrilla leader had promised to step down if the people wanted him to.

“His Excellency, Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe has always said that if the people don’t want him he will leave office, now that they have spoken he must now accept the will of the people and resign”.

He added that the President had admitted to “latent disregard to the interest of the people and dereliction of duty, surely after making such an admission common sense dictates that it should have been followed by an apology and immediate resignation to save the legacy of our struggle”. Mnangagwa promised to return and join the struggle for Zimbabwe’s economic revival “once my security is guaranteed”.

No Man Wants Me , They Want To Have Babies—Toke Makinwa

Lady kills herself after finding out her fiance was a married man

A student killed herself after discovering the man she agreed to marry was already wed and intended to have her as his polygamous second wife, according to reports.

Danara Kaipova, 20, was found hanged soon after finding out her groom-to-be apparently already had a spouse and two children.

Her devastated mum said her daughter had thought she’d found her true love.

Danara was allegedly ‘kidnapped’ from her college in Kazakhstan this summer by wealthy Birzhan Doshakaev, 29.

The act of ‘bride-stealing’ is a barbaric medieval tradition that continues in Kazakhstan and other areas of the former Soviet Union.

According to Mirror UK,despite being ‘stolen’, she reportedly told her friends and family she loved him and made clear she was happy to marry him after he took her to his home city, Atyrau, where she met his parents.
 Her mother Inzhu Kaipova said:

“My daughter kept telling me that he had great parents, and that she was happy. I believed her.”She had found her “true love” she said.

But the distraught mother added:

“Now we know that this man had a wife and two children.”He did not say a word about it to our daughter.”Danara killed herself when she found out about it.”She hanged herself.”

She said Doshakaev’s family, who reportedly knew about his plans, “humiliated my girl” and that he lied by not telling her that he ‘had a wife and children’.

Danara, an A-grade student at her agricultural college, had also told her friends that she was happy after she was apparently kidnapped and taken 325 miles to his city.

She had invited them to her planned wedding.
Police have begun a criminal investigation into whether Danara was forced into suicide by the cruel behaviour of the man she loved.

The Nigerian Police has confirmed the arrest of Maryam Sanda for allegedly stabbing her husband, Haliru Bello to death.

Bello, 35, son of Haliru Bello, a former chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has been buried according to Islamic rites in Abuja, after prayers at the National Mosque.

Police Public Relations Officer, DPS Anjuguri Manzah, in a chat with newsmen said that the suspect was arrested on Sunday night. He said that she would be charged to court after investigations have been concluded.

According to the police, the investigation was being handled by its homicide department adding that investigation would be concluded soon.

Haliru Bello’s death was not natural, as he was allegedly  killed in his Maitama home in Abuja by his wife,  Maryam Sanda.

Maryam is  the daughter of Maimuna Aliyu, former Aso Saving Bank executive.

According to reports, Maryam allegedly killed her husband on Saturday night, stabbing him several times.

Multiple reports online said she attacked her husband based on allegations of infidelity after seeing a text message  on his phone.

Maryam was said to have stabbed Bello, who would have clocked 36 on November 23, thrice in the back. She also reportedly stabbed him several times on his manhood.

After stabbing him, she drove him to the hospital for treatment but he did not survive the attack.

Anjuri Manza, spokesman of FCT police command, confirmed the murder : “We are investigating the matter,”he told the Cable.

According to reports, it was not the first time Maryam  would attack Bello violently.

She once  bit part of his ear off  during an argument. Bello was treated at a hospital before returning home. Some report said he was advised to leave the house but he refused, only to be brutally attacked the second time.

The couple had a daughter together.

Bello’s father was the acting chairman of the PDP board of trustees from 2015-2016, minister of defence from 2011-2012, and minister of communications from 2001-2003.

Not having kids or being married, doesn’t make me less of a woman – Kemi Adetiba

Filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has made it known she is not less of a woman becuase she isn’t married or have kids.

She shares a video of Black-ish star Tracee Eliss Ross on her page and wrote;

“Before the “miss the point” folks start running rogue in my comment section, Tracee Ellis Ross has never once said she never wants to be married or have children. What she is saying however, is that because she currently has neither, some people choose to invalidate all of her personal achievements and growth. Their line of reasoning is her life is yet to have TRUE meaning until a husband and child punctuate her entire existence.

This struck a chord as I get this all the time. I will be 38 in just over a month and a half, and while I would LOVE to be married (to my God-chosen companion, and best friend) and have child(ren), I am very comfortable with the knowledge that my life is just as valid, and beautiful, and happy, and successful, if for some reason that never comes to pass. Marriage and kids is not my “crowning glory”… It’s another BEAUTIFUL step in life I would love to take. I’d also love to make (and keep) a billion dollars in my lifetime, but I won’t be any less of a woman or Kemi Adetiba if that didn’t come to pass either.
No… I’m not comparing the two. I’m just highlighting it doesn’t diminish a (Wo)man’s -Kemi Adetiba’s – worth if it never happens.
Hello… Good morning

Man reportedly beaten to death by a gang for preventing them from seeing his sister in Katsina

Abdulmalik Kabir Yaro

A Facebook user has revealed how a young man Abdulmalik Kabir Yaro, was beaten to death by a Local Gang because of his effort to stop the said gang from seeing his younger sister who’s hardly the age of courtship, and this happened to him just four weeks after losing his younger brother to cancer.

The young man Abdulmalik Kabir Yaro was cornered by the local gang and was beaten to a pulp and he gave up the ghost before he could have access to medical care.

Read the Post on Facebook below ;

YET ANOTHER SENSELESS MURDER – Maiwada Dammallam
This is Abdulmalik Kabir Yaro, a wonderful son of my friend from childhood. Abdulmalik lost his younger brother to leukemia about 4 weeks ago. This morning he’s dead, killed (read, executed) by a local gang. Abdulmalik’s offense which earned him death sentence in the court of this gang was his effort to stop the wayward gang from seeing his young sister who’s hardly the age of courtship.
The gang somehow cornered Abdulmalik and beat him up to pulp yesterday. He was rushed to the hospital in coma and gave up the ghost today around 11 am. This is not in Katsina, Kano, Lagos or Port Harcourt, this happened in the heart of Malumfashi, my sweet serene hometown. I’m devastated!
That the victim was my son while my hometown was the theatre of this ungodly violence, made it even more disturbing. That it’s another crime induced by passion and possibly drugs when Nigeria is debating yesterday’s callous murder of a young man by his wife in a case of domestic violence made it even more tragic and cause for concern.
Where are we heading? Why is murder becoming a cheap option for conflict resolution among the youth? What’s missing in the system that people don’t seem afraid to commit grievous offenses that hitherto, were seen only in western movies? We are slowly inching towards a lawless society for lack of political will to implement punitive laws scripted for our country to curtail and control criminality. Most laws in Nigeria are mere decoration on dusty shelves in courtrooms; made ineffective by a cumbersome judicial system. I’m sure the murderers of Abdulmalik would have had a second thought before his murder had they watched a convicted murderer hanged to death for the offense. Sadly, all they have to stimulate their respect for the law were countless stories of murderers getting away with murders due to a mixture of clumsiness and cunningness of our judicial system.
It’s sad that a cry for justice in Nigeria is a cry that only the victim could hear. Our courts are more like a sanctuary for criminals than for their victims. With money, one could get away with almost any crime imaginable under the sun. Good cases were lost to judicial technicalities that have no relevance to the facts of the case. Only in Nigeria would a criminal like Evans who made billions in ransom from his kidnapped victims (some of whom were killed by him anyway) would battle the court to enforce his “human right”. It should make sense that people are resorting to improvised laws to deal with criminality.
Thanks to the inefficacy of our justice system, individual communities have designed laws that are already being implemented in full to dispense speedy justice. Thieves of all grades and categories are roasted by the roadside to circumvent the cumbersomeness of our justice system in most states in the Southern part of the country. It’s only a matter of time before other parts of the country borrow and tailor the system to suit their needs. The only antidote for such likely crisis is a wholistic review of the justice system to make more compliant and user friendly.
My heartfelt condolence to the parents of Abdulmalik for the tragic lost of another promising son when yet to overcome the pain of an earlier bereavement. Allah ya jikanshi da rahama.
